It is not that the texts would be missing, because they are accurately set with a carefully selected font. The illustration, which one would expect to illustrate this show, is missing completely, but then one learns that the main element of the exhibition is accessible only after dark, so this lack of visual material is not surprising. The 70 holes of equal size drilled through the book at regular intervals move the book as an object to the center. Probably one pays more attention than usual to volume and material, to individual elements, such as the feel of the paper, the coloring at the end of the tape or the colored insert sheet. The holes penetrate the entire publication and at the same time they act on the individual pages of the book like formal settings, on the same level as letters, punctuation marks and page numbers. Without hierarchy, each element is given its importance. The readability of the text is severely limited by the perforation - and this knowledge seems a bit strange when writing - each word has spaces. If it succeeds in overcoming this irritation and starting to read it, it may come as a surprise how good the text is nevertheless remains readable and how the words are inevitably completed mentally. The primary function of a book as a content broker is limited but not suspended. The artist, together with the graphic artists Prill Vieceli Cremers, has found a convincing visual language to show and subtly reflect the borderline between the visible and the invisible. Es ist nicht so, dass die Texte fehlen w\u00fcrden, denn diese sind mit einer sorgf\u00e4ltig ausgesuchten Schrift akkurat gesetzt. Die Bebilderung, die man zur Illustration dieser Schau erwarten w\u00fcrde, fehlt g\u00e4nzlich, doch dann erf\u00e4hrt man, dass das Hauptelement der Ausstellung erst nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit begehbar ist. So ist dieses Fehlen von Bildmaterial nicht weiter verwunderlich. Die 70 gleichgrossen L\u00f6cher, die in regelm\u00e4ssigen Abst\u00e4nden durch das Buch gebohrt sind, r\u00fccken das Buch als Objekt ins Zentrum. Wahrscheinlich achtet man durch die runden Leerstellen mehr als sonst auf Volumen und Material, auf einzelne Elemente, wie die Haptik des Papiers, die Einf\u00e4rbung am Schluss des Bandes oder das farbige Einlageblatt. Die L\u00f6cher durchdringen die ganze Publikation und zugleich wirken sie auf den einzelnen Buchseiten wie formale Setzungen, auf der gleichen Ebene wie Buchstaben, Satzzeichen und Seitenzahl. Ohne Hierarchie wird je-dem Element seine Wichtigkeit beigemessen. Die Lesbarkeit des Textes ist durch die Lochung stark eingeschr\u00e4nkt \u2013\u2013 und dieses Wissen mutet beim Schreiben auch etwas seltsam an \u2013, jedes Wort weist Leerstellen auf. Gelingt es, diese Irritation zu \u00fcberwinden und mit der Lekt\u00fcre zu beginnen, so mag es verwundern, wie gut der Text dennoch lesbar bleibt und wie die Worte unweigerlich gedanklich vervollst\u00e4ndigt werden. Die prim\u00e4re Funktion eines Buches als Vermittler von Inhalten ist hier eingeschr\u00e4nkt, aber nicht aufgehoben. Der K\u00fcnstler hat zusammen mit den Grafikern Prill Vieceli Cremers eine \u00fcberzeugende visuelle Sprache gefunden, um die Grenze zwischen Sichtbarem und Unsichtbarem aufzuzeigen und subtil zu reflektieren.
